Local Event
What is the most diverse wine region in France? What about the region with the best values? The Loire has a strong case to make for both, with its huge variety of soils, climates and grapes that follow the 600 mile river from the Massif Central mountain range in Central France, past the edges of Burgundy, all the way to the mouth of the Atlantic Ocean by Nantes.
We will taste 5 wines that display some of this diversity in terroir. Likely grape varieties will include: chenin blanc (both sparkling and still), sauvignon blanc, cabernet franc and pinot noir. Snacks will also be provided to accompany the wines.
Bottles will be available for purchase after the tasting. The bar will remain open until 8:30 pm.
