A live culinary demonstration featuring produce from local farms in Solano County.

Sustainable Solano's local food team welcomes Trish Barnes, RD for a kombucha-making demonstration! Making fermented tea at home can be easy and inexpensive. In this class you'll learn how to brew and flavor your own kombuha. Trish will discuss the history, potential health benefits, and science behind this ancient beverage. You’ll also see firsthand the supplies needed, learn batch and continuous brewing methods, taste a variety of kombucha flavors, and go home with sample recipes and flavoring ideas. As a registered dietician, Trish spent most of her professional career working with the WIC Program at the local and federal level. She is a passionate gardener, urban farmer, beekeeper, and cook who loves growing vegetables, flowers and herbs and playing in the kitchen and garden.

$10 per person.

Space is limited.
