Join us at Josephine for a wine tasting and class centered around the rebellious VDF movement to celebrate Bastille Day!

The Vin de France label has been given to producers who eschew the French wine laws of their region, and make wines on their own terms. Traditionally, this label has been associated with cheaper, overproduce table wines. However, with the natural wine movement taking hold in this historically rebellious country, many prestigious and well-respected winemakers are choosing to make high-quality natural wines in hyper-traditional, often ancient methods using the VDF label. These top-tier wines are selling at higher prices than any VDFs France has seen in the past, and it is shaking up what the government considers makes a good French wine.

Join us for a casual seated wine class where we will discuss this French Wine Revolution while tasting through some of our favorite VDF wines with our Wine Director, Erin Dudley, at Josephine!

Included with your ticket:

  • Seated wine class with Neighborhood Restaurant Group Wine Director, Erin Dudley
  • Tasting of six fine wines labeled Vin De France
  • Small serving of artisanal cheeses and accouterment
