Join us as we taste and explain the history and make up of 9 (1/2 oz) samples of Jim Beam's diversified huge collection of 115 different Bourbons and North American Whiskies.Jim Beam is the best selling brand of bourbon in the world. The company started in 1795, seven direct line descendants of Jacob Beam have been the Master Distillers in their family's whiskey production. The Flagship brand was given the name "Jim Beam" in 1933 in honor of James Beauregard Beam, who rebuilt the distillery at the age of 70 in 120 days after Prohibition ended.

The Jim Beam Distilleries are located in Clermont, Kentucky and Boston, Kentucky. Jim Beam is a wholly owned subsidiary of Beam Suntory Brands of Osaka, Japan.This is an advanced level class with a couple allocations mixed in for a unique experience. Some of the bourbons we will be tasting include; Jim Beam Black (7 year), Legent, Old Grand Dad 114, A. Overholt Straight Rye, Knob Creek Bourbon X Rye, Knob Creek 12, Bakers 7, Clermont Steep, Top Shelf Booker's at barrel proof, and Little Book Chapter 8.This class is appropriate for NEW or EXPERIENCED bourbon enthusiasts.

In order to qualify for the first level of recognition the student must take any 4 Tasting Classes. After completing these you earn a ”Certificate of Completion” in Basic Whiskey Studies and the title of ”Apprentice Bourbon Taster.”
