Hitching Post has a special connection with SIDEWAYS. The Academy Award-winning film, released in 2004, follows two men in their forties who take a week-long road trip to Santa Barbara wine country where Hitching Post 2 and Hitching Post Wines were prominently featured. The success of the movie elevated awareness of the Santa Barbara wine region and Pinot Noir sales went through the roof! Twenty years later, the effects are still being felt. We are celebrating!
Join us for a special SIDEWAYS multi-course dinner. Held under tent, the evening begins with a reception of passed appetizers followed by an impressive four course meal paired with rare, library vintages and current releases of Pinot Noirs of Hitching Post Wines including the 2001 Highliner Pinot (that made its debut in the movie) and the 2021 Highliner Pinot 20th Anniversary commemorative bottling just being released. Winemakers Frank Ostini and Gray Hartley will be on hand to share their Sideways experiences and whimsical stories.
