In this class, we will taste various examples of two renowned and delicious grape varieties that began their journey in France - Chenin Blanc and Syrah. We'll learn how the concept of terroir changes these grapes around the world - from soil composition, climate, and altitude, we will discover how these factors influence what is in the glass. We will also discuss how the wine is typically treated in the cellar based on region during the winemaking process, and how that impacts the final outcome of the wine. The variations of these two varietals span great lengths, and you might be surprised by what you find.
