Local Event
As a local staple and Slow Food hangout, Convivio Café has not only quickly become one of our favorite spots to gather, but also a community hub to learn, meet, teach, and educate. This Guate-inspired cafe brings Guatemalan Coffee and culture to the Denver food scene, in addition to language exchanges, cultural markets, cultural dinners, and coffee classes. In December 2024, we are partnering with the women-led team to bring our community one of their coffee courses.
In the hour-long workshop, instructors will introduce the country of Guatemala and the origins of coffee before diving into the world of Guatemalan coffees. They will focus on smallholder farms and producers as they invite attendees to taste their way through the many aromas of this special country.
The intimate workshop will be such a special way to either expand your coffee knowledge or take your first steps into the complex world of this popular beverage. So, grab your friends and loved ones and join us for an evening of sipping warm beverages, learning from local knowledge, and exploring how the world of Guatemala has taken root right here in Denver.
About Convivio Café:
In Guatemala, a convivio is a get together where we’re all welcome. We gather around crowded tables with our friends and neighbors to share, connect, and enjoy delicious culturally-rooted food and drink. At Convivio Café we want to celebrate the roots of our neighborhood—some deep and some newly planted—as they grow side by side. Some prefer americanos over atoles, or avocado toast over pan dulce. No matter your preference, you are invited to our convivio.
