Experience a guided tour of our exhibition Pop Stars! Popular Culture and Contemporary Art and enjoy a glass of Who Are We? a nostalgic tinged cocktail inspired by Brian Paumier’s Act of Faith combining Paranubes Oaxacan Rhum milk punch, lime juice, bergamot liquor, and berry shrub clarified in Captain Crunch “Oops All Berries” steeped coconut milk. In his artwork, the artist often portrays elements of his life experience and childhood as well as his own search for masculinity. The cocktail ingredients coordinate with the Southwestern themes in Act of Faith and the garnish and serving styly will call to mind the artist’s examination of masculinity.
Who Are We? is a cocktail that, like Paumier, asks guests to think of their journey, what connects us and makes us who we are. Says beverage team member and creator Carson Bush, “the intention is for the drink to inspire conversation and connectivity, but if it does not, AT LEAST I WORE MY HEART ON MY SLEEVE.”
Tickets are $20 and includes the guided tour, valet parking, and an art inspired cocktail. (Sip & Tours have a maximum capacity be sure to buy your ticket early. Attendees must be 21 or over. )
