Founded by husband-and-wife team Michael and Anne Dashe, Dashe Cellars produced its first vintage of Dry Creek Zinfandel in 1996. Since then, they have been committed to crafting exceptional, single-vineyard wines using a traditional, non-industrial approach. In a bold and unconventional decision at the time, they chose a warehouse in Jack London Square over the scenic vineyards of wine country, believing great wines should be accessible without a trip to Napa or Sonoma. After 15 years in Jack London Square, Dashe Cellars relocated to Spirits Alley on the historic Naval Airbase in Alameda, CA. Guided by the same philosophy, Mike and Anne continue to produce wines that express the unique soil, climate, and character of their vineyards. To achieve this, Dashe Cellars utilizes traditional and natural winemaking techniques, such as small-lot fermentation, indigenous yeast, and minimal fining or filtration.
