At Amista Vineyards, the name rings true with everything they do. “Amista” is a play on the Spanish work for friendship, “Amistad”. We can't think of a better place to celebrate #ComeOverOctober!
They take the méthode traditionnelle way of making sparkling wines and apply it to unique varietals that excel in the gravelly soils of the surrounding organic estate vineyard. The sparkling wines are reminiscent of a Cava or Crémant from a Mediterranean climate, bright, lively and crafted for enjoyment both with and without food. Rhone varietals feel right at home here in Dry Creek Valley, and Amista’s red wines are reminisced of the wines found in the south of France, balanced, light and fruit driven.
The winemaking is taken seriously, but a visit to the vineyards is meant to be a fun, relaxed experience for all guests.
