Chefsgiving : Charity Dinner - 6:00 PM
After a successful first year, luxury boutique hotel Pendry Chicago and French brasserie Venteux return to present Chicago Chefsgiving in partnership with Chicago Chefs Cook, the award-winning organization whose mission is to unify the Chicago culinary community around humanitarian causes. The one-night-only dinner at Venteux, located on the ground floor of Chicago’s historic Pendry Hotel on Michigan Avenue, will once again gather a blockbuster lineup of some of the city’s most notable chefs to rally behind a local cause on Thursday, November 21st. James Beard Award-winning sommelier, experiential storyteller, and lifestyle expert Belinda Chang will be the emcee for the evening. The event is part of a larger charity initiative for Pendry Hotels, the national luxury boutique hotel brand, which launched its first Chefsgiving event at its San Diego property in 2018. A portion ($50) of each Chefsgiving ticket sold will go back towards a worthy and deserving local cause in each of the property’s respective markets in line with the spirit of giving back during Thanksgiving. In 2023, Pendry Chicago kicked off their first ever Chicago Chefsgiving with a five-course charity dinner benefiting the local efforts at Pilsen Food Pantry’s New Migrant Program.
In partnership with presenters Pendry Chicago and Venteux, Chicago Chefs Cook now turns its attention to improving community health through the power of food and nutrition, a mission championed by event charity beneficiary Common Threads. Common Threads provides culinary and nutrition education programs throughout the U.S., working closely with families, schools and community-based partners to promote the benefits of cooking and meal sharing on our physical, mental, spiritual and social well-being.
