Please join us as we welcome Shelley McDaniel from the Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin to our new community kitchen for an immersive workshop on flavor. In this class we will explore the concept of flavor and how it is not the same thing as taste. We will learn some of the science behind taste and smell and what part your brain plays in your perception of both. With that foundation, we will introduce you to why and how pairings work, whether it is because of contrast, enhancement, texture, or something unexpected. Then you will get to put all that together with some great examples of pairings featuring Wisconsin cheeses. The class will be accompanied by some NA sparkling wine, and each student will take home a bag of goodies from our friends at DFW.
