Georgia is one of the oldest ancient wine-producing nations on the planet, with a rich wine history going back at least 8,000 years. Join us for an unforgettable Boston Wine School wine class as we embark on a journey to discover the ancient winemaking traditions of Georgia. This class will introduce you to the unique wines of Georgia, including Rkatsiteli, Sachino, and multiple expressions of Saperavi, and we'll explore the rich history and diverse styles of Georgian wine.

CLASS HIGHLIGHTS

Rkatsiteli — A medium acidity white grape with herbal flavors and floral notes, often found in amber wines made with traditional qvevri fermentation.

Saperavi — Georgia’s bold and deeply colored signature red grape, famous for its rich flavors and profound aging potential.

Sachino — A blend of Saperavi and Rkatsiteli that's in some ways the best of both worlds, a wine that delivers fresh red fruit flavors with a uniquely soft texture.

In addition to the wine tasting component, we will delve into the 8,000-year-old winemaking history of Georgia, including traditional techniques like fermentation in clay qvevri. Whether you're a wine professional eager to explore Georgian winemaking or a wine lover looking to expand your palate, this class is the perfect way to explore the flavors and stories of this ancient wine culture.

Reserve your spot today and raise your glass to Georgia’s unique winemaking heritage!
