Big, bold red wines. There is no denying that this genre of wine is luxurious, decadent, and sexy. So join us as Tria's Wine Director, Lauren Harris, breaks out six heavy hitters for your sipping pleasure.
Who can say no to a rich, velvety mouthfeel when the temperatures drop in January? Allow dark, intense fruit flavors, paired with the undeniably strong tannins of bold reds carry you across the finish line of winter. Besides, big reds age more gracefully than most of us will! The players include Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, and Shiraz – we could go on, but aren’t you a tad distracted by your mouth salivating? Let’s explore where the big boys come from, how they are made, and the various manifestations of big red awesomeness.
The class will be held at the iconic Spring Mill Café’s bucolic farmhouse in Conshohocken. Spring Mill Café is the local restaurant that has figuratively transported locals to France’s Loire Valley since 1978. For the complete experience, we suggest making dinner reservations for after the class. We will be selling bottles for you to enjoy with your dinner.
