For those seeking a fun, curated culinary experience, Chef Steve Chiappetti and the team at State and Lake Chicago Tavern host specialty tasting events this fall in the Tavern's second-floor private dining space – Gateway. These events showcase special farmer products and an array of distinctive wine, spirits and beers. With a 2-hour, walk-around tasting format, guests an eat their heart out, all while learning history and fun facts from the experts. Coming up:


Thursday, September 19, 2024, 5 to 7 p.m. – Beef & Bourbon | $65 per person. Join for a tasting of some of the best cuts of prime American beef from a porterhouse, ribeye, sirloin to short rib. Paired up to this rich fantastic prime beef is a tasting of distinct American whisky and bourbons.
