The sunny Caribbean island of Aruba is part of the Netherlands. Papiamento cooking is one of the earlist examples of "fusion" with influences from Africa, Asia, The Netherlands, Spain, and Portugal. Join Chef and cookbook author Aliza Green, and Chef JonCarl Lachman--ower of Dutch influenced restaurant Winkle-- as they cook from Aliza's latest book, Aruba's Papiamento Cuisine. The dinner showcases dishes from Aruba's restaurants that highlight the diversity and creativity of the food. This event benefits the Les Dames Philadelphia Scholarship Fund.
