Hand-packed artisan seafood conservas are delicacies worth savoring, delightful and richly flavored, gifts meant to be shared together straight from the can, as in traditional tinned-fish regions around the world, especially those of Spain and Portugal. At Chantal's Cheese Shop, we have a wonderful selection of unique artisan conservas from around the world that is worth exploring. This class will present four of them alongside four wines curated by The Indian Somm, a certified wine professional, who will join us for an intimate discussion of wine, as we taste our way through the course.

Wine will be provided, this in not a BYOB event and is 21 and over.

The Indian Somm

A biomedical engineer by profession, and a foodie at heart, Kanika’s, aka The Indian Somm’s wine journey began with an innate curiosity about the science behind wine and finding relatable food pairings.

Kanika is now a certified wine professional with over 4 years of experience, currently in her final year of the prestigious and rigorous dipWSET (Diploma, Wine & Spirit Education Trust, London) program. She has visited over 25 unique wine regions of the world, expanding her knowledge of terroir, viticulture, and winemaking.

With a diverse culinary background shaped by experiences across India and around the world, it is her hope to redefine the narrative around wine, making it more unpretentious, approachable and inclusive.
