About Chef Russell:
Master storyteller and author of In Search of Duende, Russell Lowell is the executive chef and owner of Russell Dean Lowell Premier Catering and has only one distinguished venue in the greater Seattle area: Russell’s of Bothell
One of Russell’s success secrets is that Chef Lowell cuts all proteins in house and holds fish demos for halibut and salmon to show guests how to hone this craft at home.
A true friend to up-and-coming Washington winemakers, Chef Lowell holds several winemaker dinner events each year to pair their wines with his exquisite cuisine.
Russell attributes his impressive culinary journey to a lifelong passion for food that began in Cuba's coral reefs and mangrove waterways and was nurtured by his family.
His passions extend far beyond the culinary walls. A true adventurer and Renaissance man, Russell Lowell is a "chef of all seasons." He can be found fly fishing all over the world with flies he ties himself, hiking and hunting in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, and holding Elk Camp at various locations each fall.
About Tim Armstrong:
Part artist, part engineer, Tim is one of those rare technical people with an uncanny ability to understand how things work – and to communicate it to the rest of us. Tim has been a wine enthusiast since 1996 when he was blown away by a glass of wine served on a business trip. Fascinated by the fact that wine could provide such a memorable experience, he set out to learn more about how wine works and soon fell in love with the idea of crafting extraordinary wines of his own.
He honed his craft by taking classes through UC Davis, South Seattle Community College, and Washington State University’s Viticulture and Enology program. He also volunteered nights and weekends at Patterson Cellars in Woodinville for years, and has been making award-winning Armstrong wines since 2011.
Tim is, as his Father-in-law likes to say, a purist. He has high standards and a commitment to purity of fruit, traditional methods and low intervention in the cellar. And that commitment comes through with every sip.
About Jen Armstrong:
Jen is all about the people. She is passionate about helping people be present in their lives and loves the way great wine can help us pause, engage our senses, enjoy the moment and then share it with others. She brings a diverse background in coaching, writing, public relations, event planning, camp directing, and non-profit management to the winery to head up sales, events, Club and day to day operations. In any given day, you may find her pouring wines for a restaurant wine buyer, greeting guests, coordinating wine deliveries, hosting an event, attending a charity auction, or driving the kids to dance or soccer. Regardless, she’s excited to be on this life adventure with her family and invites guests to take a moment to pause, engage their senses, savor the moment, and share it with others… especially, with a glass of Armstrong in hand!
