“Wine is made to be drunk, food is made to be enjoyed and birthdays are meant to be celebrated!” – That is the idea behind Anhelo’s celebratory anniversary dinner, which is set to feature not only an unparalleled meal, but some of the most incredible and exclusive wines on the market.
Located in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, Anhelo restaurant is not only helping to put the area on the culinary map, it is hosting the most extravagant wine dinners with the world’s most esteemed estates. Known for flying in owners and founders from renowned wineries such as Château Margaux and Cheval Blanc, for example, Anhelo has carved out a niche for itself as a wine connoisseur’s paradise, nestled in an unpretentious, unassuming and even unexpected environment.
In celebration of its two-year anniversary, Anhelo is hosting an exclusive wine dinner unmatched anywhere in the state — and beyond. On Thursday, Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. Anhelo pulls out all the stops to create a one-of-a-kind wine dinner experience to impress even the most educated and experienced wine aficionados.
Guests will be treated as family during this intimate wine dinner, where they will begin their experience with Dom Perignon champagne to wet their lips and get them in the mood for what is next to come — two killer Premier Cru White Burgs from Domaine Leflaive & Domaine Roulot followed by a 2007 Domaine de la Romanee-Conti Romanee St. Vivant Grand Cru.
Diners will then be treated to a 2005 Chateau Latour alongside the magical 2010 Chateau Lafite Rothschild. Not to be outdone by the French, Anhelo will roll out the Grand Cru Napa wines before moving onto Harlan’s Promontory and Colgin Cellars, one of the original cult Napa classics, both with about 10 years of age.
These incredible sips will be matched only by Anhelo’s Owner and Chef Ivan Jacobo’s masterful culinary creations that are rooted in simplicity, elegance and most of all, incredible flavor. Diners should expect to be wowed from the moment they enter the restaurant, from which point they will be guided through a global adventure of the tastebuds and the senses by way of life’s most precious resources — food and wine.
Anhelo is a globally inspired concept that is quickly becoming an international culinary standout. Within the first year, Anhelo’s wine program received Wine Spectator’s Best of Award of Excellence and In the second year, At the 10th Annual Foodist Awards presented by the Arizona Restaurant Association, Jacobo was honored with the highly coveted Exceptional Culinary Experience award. Guests are encouraged to come in and see what year three has to offer!
