Thirsty for wine knowledge? Soak it up in a day-long beginner or intermediate class run by credentialed, enthusiastic wine instructors from the American Wine Society, the country's largest community of wine explorers.
WineSmarts I: Learn about wine components, the wine aroma wheel and principal wine varieties from several regions. Taste and discuss 18 wines and learn about wine and food pairings.
WineSmarts II: This class dives deeper into winemaking processes, climate and terroir. Explore and evaluate 19 wines and discuss food pairings in an interactive, blind tasting. WineSmarts I is encouraged but not required as a prerequisite.
For both sessions: Pass an optional 50-question, multiple-choice exam to earn a certificate. Low student/instructor ratio. Get your wine questions answered and become a more informed wine consumer.
