Local Event
Come cultivate new & old connections with your queer neighbors on Thanksgiving Saturday when you may be tired of the family, tired of leftovers, or just wanting to celebrate things you're grateful for with queer men who love great food, beverages, and comradery. We will gather in the social room of the beautiful First Congregational Church of Lee. This is a drop-in event where you can arrive and leave on your own schedule, and where you could also get a little exercise on an easy, beautiful hike at the largest waterfall in New England, Bash Bish Falls, 11am-12:30pm, in Copake, NY (click on link to learn more & register).
“For many queer men, the holidays can sometimes be a challenging time because they may be estranged geographically or otherwise from their birth families while also not having as diverse a chosen family as they might want after the isolation of the COVID era and the divisiveness of this increasingly polarized time,” said Bart Church, Q-MoB’s Executive Director and one of the organizers of the Post Thanksgiving Gratitude Potluck. “We are therefore bringing the community together to share food, beverages, and stories about things we are grateful for, build connections, and of course share our delicious leftovers.”
