An Evening With Wink Lorch: Jura Wine Ten Years On

Join us for a special evening with acclaimed author and Jura wine expert Wink Lorch as she shares insights from her long-awaited new book, Jura Wine Ten Years On—a companion volume to her pioneering work Jura Wine.

In this guided tasting, Wink will lead us through a selection of wines that reflect the evolving styles, traditions, and personalities of this singular region. Drawing on over a decade of continued research and deep connections to Jura’s winemakers, she’ll offer stories, updates, and tasting context that only she can provide.

While all are welcome, those already familiar with Wink’s previous work—or with Jura’s distinctive grapes and styles—will find this an especially rich and rewarding experience.

Guests may purchase copies of Jura Wine Ten Years On and Jura Wine in advance through Académie du Vin Library, and Wink will have a limited number of books available for purchase and signing at the event.

Participants may choose to attend in person at the Capital Wine School or virtually on Zoom.

In Person Participants

• Please note that the building in which we are located does not have an elevator, and there are several sets of stairs to navigate to get to our classrooms on the second floor.

Virtual Participants

• Virtual participants may pick their samples up at the Capital Wine School between 12pm – 5pm on May 15.
• Virtual participants who are unable to pick their samples up may request shipping for an additional fee. However, due to various factors we are unable to guarantee delivery by the event date. Participants who choose the shipping option are welcome to attend the Zoom session live without samples and will receive a recording of the tasting so that they may enjoy the wines alongside the recording at their convenience.
• Requests for shipping must be received at least 7 days prior to class, and all registrations for virtual attendance must be received by close of business the Monday prior to the class.
• Additional information regarding curbside pickups will be emailed a day or two prior to class.

To ensure a quality experience for all participants, each class or course requires a minimum number of registrations. If this minimum is not met, we may need to cancel the session. In such cases, registered students will be notified as soon as possible and provided with options for rescheduling or a full refund.
