Kevin Zraly

Kevin Zraly is a renowned American wine educator, author, and speaker, best known for his contributions to wine education. He gained prominence as the founder and instructor of the Windows on the World Wine School, which he established in 1976 while serving as the wine director at the iconic Windows on the World Restaurant in the original World Trade Center. His engaging and accessible teaching style helped educate thousands of wine enthusiasts and professionals.

Zraly is also the author of the highly influential book Kevin Zraly’s Windows on the World Complete Wine Course, first published in 1985 and updated regularly. It has sold over four million copies and remains one of the best-selling wine books in the world.

Over his career, Zraly has received numerous accolades, including the James Beard Lifetime Achievement Award. Even after the tragic destruction of Windows on the World in the September 11 attacks, he continues his work in wine education, giving lectures, writing, and conducting tastings.
